This is the standard dressing of the famous Ally's Shrimp tied on a Gold Esmond Drury Treble. Sometimes tying the standard pattern on a different coloured hook can give new life to a fly. It certainly has with this pattern which is fished with confidence on all of Irelands major salmon rivers and beyond.
