The Avocet Match reels were created specifically for modern match, float, and surface fishing. All types have a high gear ratio (6.0:1) for fast retrieval, resulting in approximately 100cm of line per handle turn! This is fantastic for a small reel like the Avocet. They come with a shallow match spool with clever line-ID rims. The unique dual line clip system (with metal clips) allows the angler to quickly and easily unlock the line or fix the line at two precise casting distances.
